The Fire Doubles in San Bernardino

by | Feb 24, 2026 | California, Mario Murillo, Mario Murillo Ministries | 41 comments

Something shifted on Monday night in San Bernardino. Something that veterans of this ministry have rarely witnessed at this level.

If Night One was the earthquake, Night Two was the aftershock that proved the first tremor wasn’t a fluke. On a weeknight in the greater Los Angeles area, when it would be easy to excuse small crowds due to traffic, and school, and work; the Tent was packed again. Monday night was nearly as full as Sunday night. As Mario himself noted from the stage, “That never happens. And every time that it ever has happened, it’s just exploded.”

San Bernardino is exploding.

But before we get to the message, the altar call, or the healings that erupted across the Tent like wildfire, we need to talk about what happened in worship. Because what Catherine Mullins and the band carried tonight was unlike anything we’ve seen from them before.

Catherine Mullins has always been more than a worship leader in these crusades. She’s a General in the Spirit, a carrier of the presence, but tonight was different. Tonight the fire that poured out of her was off the charts; and, it wasn’t dissimilar to what Mario brought when he took the stage. It was the same fire. The same anointing. As the Spirit shifted, they shifted in sync, moving in a unity that goes beyond coordination into something only the Holy Spirit can produce.

What comes out of Mario is also coming out of Catherine. That has always been true to a degree, but tonight it was unmistakable. The worship didn’t just prepare the atmosphere for the message. It was the opening salvo of the same spiritual assault on darkness that Mario would continue from the pulpit.

From the opening declaration, “You took away my shame, and you nailed it to the cross” the Tent was thrust into warfare worship. Catherine spoke prophetically between songs, declaring that while negative words have been spoken over California and over the younger generation, “the power of the cross still stands.” In the Spirit, she drew a line in the sand: “2,000 years ago there was a man named Jesus. And Muhammad is still in the grave. Buddha is still in the grave. But Jesus rose back to life.”

The worship moved from “Washed in the Water” through “Every Time I Call Your Name” with its thundering declaration that “dead things come alive in the name of Jesus” into “What a God” and “Is He Worthy?” The progression wasn’t a set-list. It was a spiritual escalation that took those in the Tent deeper and deeper into the presence of God until Mario himself said when he came to the platform, “This little girl right over here took us in too deep.”

He meant it. The worship went so far into the glory that Mario had to recalibrate his entire approach to the service. That’s not a problem. That’s a sign of what God is doing.

“Be Saved From This Perverse Generation” — Acts 2:40

Mario opened with a prayer that set the tone for everything that followed. He referenced Jesus’ words to His disciples. “Many have longed to see what you are seeing, but they did not see it”. He then declared: “Satan had a plan for San Bernardino. He decided that San Bernardino should be punished just for existing. There was a time when people thought this city could not recover. But God had other plans.”

Then he went to Acts 2:40: “And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, ‘Be saved from this perverse generation.'”

But instead of building a traditional sermon, Mario did something remarkable. He followed the leading of the Spirit and essentially told the crowd he was throwing out the playbook. Modern experts say you need a full sermon, salient points, a careful build to the altar call. But something has shifted in the spiritual atmosphere of America, and Mario named it.

He quoted the prophet Amos that the days would come when the plowman would overtake the reaper. A harvest so massive that the workers couldn’t finish gathering before the next planting season began. “More and more in the meetings that I preach in, God will silence His servant and say, tell them to come to Jesus now. And they come. And they come by the hundreds.”

An estimated 1,000 people came forward on Night One. Mario admitted with holy embarrassment: “Of course it’s embarrassing because I had nothing to do with it. I worked all day on my sermon, but that had nothing to do with it. I tried to be charming. Didn’t work. I tried to be persuasive. It wasn’t necessary.”

What’s happening isn’t the result of technique. It’s the result of God rolling up His sleeves and saying, “I’m going to bring them to Me.”

The War for a Generation

Mario then revealed something deeply personal. God told him to study the youth culture and to understand what this generation is actually facing. As he did, sitting in his room studying the assault on young people; the internet erasing the boundary between safe and dangerous neighborhoods, the grooming, the despair, the identity confusion, he said he felt evil enter the room.

“I could feel Satan saying to me, ‘You have no idea how I’m going to go after the children. I’m going to get them to kill themselves. I’m going to get them to believe they don’t know their gender. I’m going to get them to cut themselves.'”

And then his room lit up. And God spoke: “But I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters will prophesy.”

Mario pointed at the on-fire youth choir filling the front of the Tent and declared: “The Devil is crying right now because he’s watching another generation of revival rise up. It’s going to happen all over again.”

The Kidnapped Girl

Then came the illustration that brought the altar call into devastating clarity. Mario painted the picture: Imagine that you have seen an Amber Alert on your phone. A young girl has been kidnapped. Later that day, you’re driving past a park and there she is, alone on a swing, her captor momentarily gone.

“What are you going to say? Are you going to walk over there and give her a little light sermon? ‘I want you to consider the possibility of going home to your parents?’ That’s what Sunday mornings are like in many churches.”

“No. You’d grab that child and say, “You are getting in my car right now before this monster returns.”

“And before the Devil tries to reclaim you,” Mario said, “I’m not going to wait to give an altar call. I’m going to give it in about five minutes.”

And he did.

The Harvest Continues

For the second straight night, the response was staggering. The aisles filled. The Tent nearly emptied as hundreds marched outside to meet the 1,200 counselors waiting for them. The Red Sea parted; Mario’s description of the crowd splitting to let the new converts file out, and then the audience erupted in celebration when they returned.

Mario didn’t take credit. He refused to. “I didn’t do this. I don’t have the talent to do this. Nobody can manipulate a crowd and give Jesus the credit. God did this.”

He walked the new believers through the sinner’s prayer with the same care and weight as Night One. He emphasized that this wasn’t a New Year’s resolution or a decision they made. “This is God who pulled you out of darkness into His marvelous light. That’s what He did.”

Then came the announcement that there will be mass baptismal services on Wednesday night at the sponsoring churches. Every new convert was encouraged to be baptized in water. The kingdom is advancing, and the infrastructure of local churches is rising to meet it.

The Teaching on Healing: Relatives vs. Worshipers

He then transitioned into a teaching on divine healing that every pastor in the room needed to hear.

Mario went to the sixth chapter of the Gospel of Mark and laid out what he called the worst healing service and the best healing service Jesus ever had. They both occur in the same chapter. The contrast between the two was the sermon.

In Nazareth, Jesus’ hometown, the people knew Him. He was the carpenter’s son. They were His relatives. And the Bible says He could do no mighty work there. Mario unpacked the three killers of the miraculous: over-familiarity with God that breeds casualness; a lack of anticipation that produces spiritual passivity; and self-centeredness that ignores the needs of others.

Then he contrasted Nazareth with Gennesaret, where the people recognized Him and the response was the opposite. They ran. They carried the sick. They laid them wherever they heard He was. And everyone who touched Him was healed.

The centurion in Luke 7 became the crown jewel of the teaching. A man who understood authority and who said, “I am not worthy that you should enter my house. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” Jesus marveled. Not at their unbelief, as in Nazareth. At his faith.

Mario’s challenge to pastors was direct: “Your church service needs to be healed of familiarity. There needs to be reverence restored in the house.” He drew the line plainly. When people come expecting a miracle instead of treating the presence of God casually, wheelchairs empty and blind eyes open.

Healing Erupts Across the Tent

Then the teaching became demonstration.

Even before the formal healing portion began, Mario called out a woman with diabetes. He identified the year 2019 as a pivotal moment in her life, and declaring healing not only in her blood but in her heart, feet, and eyes. Seven years of deterioration were reversed by the power of God.

Then the floodgates opened.

A woman on the front rows was healed of a bone disorder and joint disease. She had fallen three times, been hospitalized three times, broken a hip and a shoulder. She couldn’t stand without falling. Mario told her to walk – and she walked. Then she walked fast. The pain was gone. Her balance was restored.

A man nearby whom Mario had identified by the Spirit but who initially didn’t respond was called out with diabetes, heart disease, and the aftermath of a stroke. He had been in a wheelchair. Then with prompting he stood. He walked. And the Tent erupted.

Cancer was called out and rebuked. A woman with heart and lung conditions was healed. A young athlete was identified. Injuries from competition were healed, strength being restored, with a prophetic word that God was positioning him to influence his generation.

A young woman under demonic torment, waking in the middle of the night in what Mario described as a ‘horror movie’, was delivered on the spot. “This will be the first night you’re not going to wake up tormented,” Mario declared. “Now the Devil’s the one who is going to feel the horror, not you.”

Scoliosis healed. Migraine headaches healed. A young woman with unexplained burning stomach pain healed. Two cases of asthma in the center section. A rare form of diabetes that causes painful arthritis. Two neurological diseases were healed near the camera platform. Multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s were both healed, both screaming under the power of God as bones moved back into place and tumors dissolved.

Five people on the front row were called out together. They were connected by the Spirit in ways none of them knew. Among them, a man in a leather coat with a powerful ministry background who had been attacked in his body through an accident. Mario declared, “You don’t care what people think about you. If you know something’s right and you see it in the Word of God, you’ll lose friends. You’re going to stick with Truth no matter what.” His healing was immediate.

And then Mario made a statement that stopped everyone: “We’re getting close to being that meeting where it could be said, “They were all healed.”

Hundreds stood and declared they had received healing. The power of God was so powerful that in Mario’s own words, he could count on one hand the number of times he has felt it at this level in his entire ministry.

Looking Ahead

Todd Coconato speaks at the Tuesday morning session at 10 AM under the Tent. And if Marco Garcia’s morning message is any indication, it will be fire!

Tomorrow night is the final service. The culmination. And based on what has already happened in two nights, the largest crowds in the history of our Tent, can be estimated in thousands saved and healings multiplying exponentially! Tomorrow night could be the defining service of this entire crusade season.

Mario put it plainly, “How on earth could you possibly miss the final service?”

The plowman is overtaking the reaper. The harvest is so massive they can’t finish gathering before the next season begins. San Bernardino was supposed to be a city that couldn’t recover. Satan decided it should be punished just for existing.

But God had other plans. And those plans are unfolding right now, under a Tent, in the heart of a city the enemy had marked for death.

Bring everyone. Tomorrow night is the final night. And Jesus Christ is not done yet!

Is there anyway to receive a copy of (Pastor?) Marco Garcia’s teaching? I have never heard such an incredible message. I have not been able to find anything but dead churches for the last several years so I don’t go. I miss the fellowship so much but mostly I am looking for a church with a pastor who’s not afraid to preach the truth even if it offends the ‘pillars’ of the church. Every pastor in every church needs to hear this message. Please, is there any way to get a copy of this teaching?

Thank you Mario for recognizing that it is not by our power, nor by our might, but by God’s Holy Spirit that the heart is reached and changed.
The glory, as you say, must be given to God, to our blessed Savior Jesus, to the work of God’s Holy Spirit for this revival movement and for the growing of His glorious kingdom!

If only my son-in-law had been able to be there. At 53 he is now in a rehabilitation center. He has diabetes, stroke, and heart disease and is unable to care for himself in any way. We and our church body have lifted him up continually. The rehabilitation center is 2 hours away making it difficult for my daughter to see him more than once a week. Lord, we pray for miraculous healing.
