God has chosen California. Again.
Tonight, in San Bernardino, the Living Proof Tent Crusade opened its first meeting of 2026. And what happened defied every expectation. This was, by far, the largest crowd we’ve ever had in the Tent. Every seat was filled and people were standing around outside as more seats were set up outside the tent.
By the time the altar call was given the response was so massive it stretched from one side of the Tent to the other, and down every main aisle. And to put that into perspective, this tent is the size of a football field. It was a wall of humanity answering the call of God that it was impossible to capture it all in a single camera frame.
Let me say that again so it sinks in: The very first night – not night three. Not the healing service. Night one.

Something is happening in California that the pundits, the doomsayers, and the spirit of the age did not account for. They told us everyone was leaving California. Mario addressed that head-on: “I heard a rumor that a lot of people are leaving California. But let me tell you — Jesus is not leaving California.”
That line wasn’t a quip. It was a prophetic declaration over a state that the enemy has marked for destruction. And what unfolded under the Tent last night was the first thunderclap of God’s response.
Catherine Mullins and the worship team set the atmosphere
Catherine Mullins and the band were back, and from the first note they made it clear — this was not a concert. This was a war room. The worship opened with a declaration that has become an anthem for this ministry: “The devil can’t have me or my family — this is an eviction notice to the enemy. The chain breaker’s in the room, and there’s no telling what He’s gonna do.”
The Tent erupted.
What followed was a prophetic worship experience that moved seamlessly from warfare into pure adoration. “Our God Is an Awesome God.” “Holy Forever.” “House of Miracles.” Each song wasn’t just sung, it was wielded. Catherine’s team didn’t perform worship; they enforced the presence of God over the Tent.
During worship, a prophetic word came forth for a woman in the crowd who had been locked in a battle that seemed unbreakable. The word declared that her situation was like a row of dominoes and all God had to do was barely touch the first one to topple them all. That’s the kind of atmosphere the Holy Spirit created before Mario even arrived on the stage.
The worship transitioned into “House of Miracles” with a declaration that landed like a hammer: “I’ve seen cancer disappear. I’ve seen families reunited. I’ve seen prodigals return. Don’t you tell me He can’t do it!”
By the time the worship segment ended, the Tent was already charged. The presence of God was thick, even though Mario hadn’t opened his Bible yet.
Mario opened in Proverbs 24:6: “By wise counsel you will wage your own war, and in a multitude of counselors there is safety.”
The sermon title was: “Your Own War.”
And with that, Mario dismantled the illusion that spiritual warfare is only for Christians. “Everyone in this room is in a war. If you’re breathing air, you’re in a war. If you’re married, you’re in a war. If you have children, you’re in a war.”
He put up the famous Robin Williams quote on the screen, “Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind always.” Then Mario drove the blade deeper. Here was the most beloved comedian in America. Star of films. Wealthy beyond measure. And none of it answered the war inside him. None of it could.
“You are not paranoid,” Mario declared. “You are actually being attacked.”
Then came what might have been the most powerful charge to the pastors and preachers in the room. Mario put a statement on the screen that shook the Tent:
“The congregation doesn’t need your coffee jokes. They buried someone this week. They’re sitting in pews with divorce papers in their glove compartment. Their kids won’t talk to them. They have test results they’ve been afraid to open. They drove past three churches to hear you say something that cost you something.”
And then the line that will echo long after this crusade ends: “The pulpit is not a stage. It is a witness stand.”
From there, Mario moved on to Luke 4:18. This was Jesus hanging His shingle, declaring the mission statement of Christianity itself: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.”
Mario didn’t let the crowd treat that as a familiar passage. He made them see the truth contained within it: “Every modern problem is in that paragraph.” And then he named them. It’s young women selling their bodies online; 70% of Americans unable to get through a day without some form of narcotic; violence in the streets and horrors among the elite. He connected every societal fracture back to one source: “Your enemy is Satan. Satan is after you.”
The Contract on Your Life
Quoting 1 Peter 5:8, Mario laid out the spiritual reality with zero sentimentality: “Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the Devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
“There are people that Satan has permission to attack,” he said. “If you are outside of Christ, if the blood of Christ has not been applied to your soul, you are fair game.”
He exposed the enemy’s strategy. The vicious cycle of good times followed by sudden disaster, the way Satan baits people with temporary relief right at the moment they might turn to Christ. “He’ll lighten up, then you will discover it’s all fattening you up for the kill.”
Then Mario drew the line that divided the room: John 17:16 and John 17:9. Two categories. Every person falls into one or the other. Jesus prayed for His own to be kept from the evil one, but He explicitly said, “I do not pray for the world.” If you don’t belong to Jesus, He is not interceding for you against the attacks of the enemy.
Mario was careful to distinguish this from the heresy of predestination to hell. “The idea that certain people have been pre-chosen to go to hell is the biggest heresy of Christian history. God is calling out to everyone. But not everyone is responding.”
The implication was devastating and clear: tonight, you choose which category you’re in.
The Desire and the Power
Mario then unpacked what he called the two gifts waiting for anyone who surrenders to Christ.
The first is: peace. Not the peace of antidepressants. Not the momentary peace of forgetting your problems. The peace of John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. Not as the world gives do I give unto you.” A peace that passes all understanding. A peace that means you wake up knowing, without explanation, that everything is going to come out all right.
The second is the desire and the power together. This is where Mario told the Malibu story about preaching to movie stars, a pastor who begged him not to give an altar call because celebrities would lose their careers if they were photographed going forward. Mario’s planned sermon: “The Party Is Over.” God’s correction: “No one’s at the party anymore. They’re in rehab.” Monday night Betty Ford, Tuesday night the Schick Center, Wednesday a guru, Thursday hot rocks on their back. Nobody has time to party. Everyone’s trying to fix what only God can fix.
The punchline landed with force: “Addiction can’t be broken without a desire and a power. The desire and the power have to both be there.” And then the statistic that should shake the American healthcare system: Pentecostal ministries that believed in the baptism of the Holy Spirit had an 80 percent cure rate for heroin addiction. The government’s best? 7 percent.
Then came Philippians 2:13 — the verse that ties it together: “For God is working in you to give you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.” Not one without the other. Both. Together. From God, working inside you.
The Harvest
What happened next will be seared into the memory of everyone who was there.
Mario asked people to raise their hands if they wanted to surrender to Christ. Then he asked them to stand. Then he asked them to come forward.
They came. And they kept coming.
I was there, and I’m telling you I couldn’t capture it all. They stretched across the entire width of the Tent, from one side to the other. Every main aisle was packed. When Mario sent them outside to be counseled by the volunteer teams, the line of new converts and workers stretched the entire length of the Tent and wrapped around the ends! Nearly 1,500 workers had been prepared and we needed every single one…
Mario himself said it, “This is going to be the largest altar call that we’ve ever seen in any tent anywhere in America.”
He wasn’t exaggerating. He was understating it.
While the new converts were being ministered to outside, Catherine led the remaining crowd, still a massive audience, in old camp meeting songs. “Look What the Lord Has Done.” “When I Think of His Goodness.” “To God Be the Glory.” There was a joy in the Tent that cannot be manufactured. It was the joy of a church watching heaven invade earth in real time.
When the new believers began streaming back in, the audience erupted again. Mario reminded everyone: “This is only the first night. Think about that. This is only the first night.”
After the celebration, Mario turned serious again. He returned to Proverbs 24, this time verses 11-12: “Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to die. If you say, ‘We did not know about this,’ does not He who weighs the heart perceive it?”
Mario delivered a prophetic indictment against the American church that was as loving as it was unflinching. The real reason for God’s wrath on America isn’t abortion, isn’t the LGBTQ agenda. Those are just symptoms. The root cause? “The American church stopped winning souls. That’s what happened.”
He challenged every pastor, every church, every believer: “If you have a Sunday morning service without an altar call, you’re in this verse. If you’ve not trained your people to bring their friends to church, you’re in this verse. And you can’t say that you didn’t know.”
Then came the announcement about what’s next: From San Bernardino, the Tent goes to Stockton, California. And in November, it heads to Miami, Florida, in a fairgrounds across the street from the university. Mario said he had received seventy-two invitations for tent crusades, from all across the United States.
Healing Breaks Out
Mario had said the plan was for the primary healing service to be tomorrow, Monday night. But God didn’t get the memo.
The first healing came during worship. A young woman with scoliosis and jaw pain began receiving her miracle before the sermon even started.
Then, during the healing portion, Mario called out a woman named Diane and described her condition in detail before she said a word. The result of a car collision years ago. Deterioration in the neck, back, shoulders, hands, hips, knees, and feet. Doctors had told her there was no cure.
But there was. Mario deputized a woman named Nancy as a “healing evangelist” on the spot and had her lay hands on Diane. As Nancy prayed, bones moved back into place. Pain left. Diane walked without pain for the first time in years. Then came the revelation: Diane had also lost feeling on her left side for two years from a stroke. As she was prayed for, feeling returned.
An abdominal condition, something growing that doctors couldn’t identify was dissolved. Sciatica was removed. A bulging disc moved back into place. And brain issues from Long-COVID were healed and then it was revealed that she had thought it was an aneurysm. Then God healed it all.
Heart disease was called out, a man and woman sitting near each other were both healed. Kidney disease in the back of the Tent was called out by the Holy Spirit through Mario. A man whose body had been poisoned seven years ago had five conditions healed simultaneously. Migraine headaches in the seventh row, connected to a trauma and a family under spiritual attack. Lungs healed, emotions healed, and family breakthrough was declared.
Then came the moment that hushed the Tent. Mario called out a man near the front. There was a malignant growth. The prognosis from doctors was grim. Mario looked at him and declared: “You are not going to die one day before you’re supposed to. The chemotherapy is not going to do it. It’s not necessary. The Holy Ghost is on the case.” A woman near him stood with the same anointing and had the same declaration spoken over her, growths vanishing, and lies from the pit of hell being overruled by the authority of Jesus Christ.
A liver was being regenerated in another section and miracles were spreading across the Tent like fire.
Mario prayed over the entire room, and then spoke a specific word to a man that God was giving him a new project. And that he shouldn’t look for a successor because he’s still a success. The anointing was palpable.
Looking Ahead
Pastor Marco Garcia will be speaking in the Monday morning session, at 10 AM, building faith and preparing the crowd for the miracle service.
Tuesday night will be the designated healing service. Mario made it clear, “Tomorrow night in this room, there’s going to be an explosion of healing miracles.” If what happened on night one was the river beginning to flow, Monday night it will become a raging river.
If you are in Southern California and you are not in our Tent, you are missing what may be the defining move of God for this state in this generation. This is the first crusade of 2026. The largest opening night crowd in tent history. A salvation response that dwarfed anything we’ve ever witnessed. And the healing service hasn’t even happened yet.
As Pastor Marco declared in his closing prayer: “This is the first crusade right now in California for 2026, and, Holy Spirit, we are believing that the DNA of your Spirit is here. The revival will begin here.”
San Bernardino is the epicenter. The earthquake has begun. And the aftershocks are going to be felt across the nation.
Bring the sick. Bring the lost. Bring the desperate. Bring everyone.
The Tent is open. Jesus is here. The Holy Spirit is moving and He’s just getting started!
