Last night in the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara, Mario Murillo returned to the city where his miracle ministry was born. The last time Mario stepped into this building was in 1969, during the Jesus Movement, when the power of God was falling on university students. And tonight he declared it’s about to happen again. And even bigger.
The worship team ushered in the presence of God in a powerful way. When they came to the chorus of the Christmas carol that says, “O Come Let Us Adore Him,” something shifted. So much so that Mario called for them to sing it again. He declared, “We are tempting heaven to fall down on us and I’m not going to pass up that opportunity.”
But this wasn’t just a Christmas celebration. This was a continued declaration of war. Mario shared that his ministry has plans to develop a state-of-the-art studio and media center in Tennessee, geared toward reaching Gen Z with the Gospel.
He then shared that the Tent will be coming to San Bernardino, CA and Stockton, CA in the first half of 2026. He will be spending six months in California, focused on gangs, on drugs, and on the lost. “We’re going to the root of where the violence is,” Mario declared, “and we’re gonna see God turn gangs into soldiers for Christ.”
Before diving into the message, Mario addressed the elephant in the room, the massacre in Australia in which 16 Jews were killed during a Hanukkah celebration. “The ‘religion of peace’ strikes again, ” he said, without apology.
And then he shared how just a week ago in Stockton, CA, a city with over 100 gangs, he had preached to more than 1,200 people, the overwhelming majority of which were young people. When the call was made, around 200 young people were born again.
“This is what’s happening. This is the hour we’re living in,” he said.
Mario’s message centered on how the Magi in the Bible had asked the most dangerous question that could be asked back then in the Roman Empire. They had asked, “Where is He Who is born King of the Jews?”
They walked into the court of ‘king’ Herod, a man who had been appointed by Rome, and who was neither a Jew by birth nor a descendant of the line of David. They essentially said, “You’re a poser. Where’s the real king?”
This then became the framework for the rest of the evening, as Mario asked, “Where is the real church? Where is the real moving of the Holy Spirit?”
Mario’s heart broke as he addressed Santa Barbara, saying, “I saw the moving of the Holy Spirit in this city. I remember when pastors sat together, prayed together, and reached out together. But something has changed. A system got put in place that isn’t the Kingdom of God.”
He said, “There are thousands of heartbroken saints in Santa Barbara.” He then asked, “Do you know how their heart was broken? It was the first time they were told not to raise their hands in church. The first time they were told to stop praying in tongues. When they were told that getting involved in the abortion conversation violated the rights of women.”
He recalled sitting in the Shrine Auditorium as a teenager watching Kathryn Kuhlman and he felt the transformation that took place in the atmosphere when she walked out on stage. He remembered David Wilkerson preaching to 10,000 young people where drug addicts were so paralyzed that workers had to carry them to the altar.
“I remember the glory of the presence of God,” he said.
The Church has since become therapeutic instead of militant. Our war shifted from the Devil to our emotions and our personality disorders. While the church was distracted by seeking emotional well-being, we lost our culture.
Your purpose is not found in self-discovery, it is found in 1 John 3:8, “For this purpose was the Son of God revealed, that He might destroy the works of the evil one.”
Mario next had them put their hands over their hearts and declare, “I am a destroyer of the works of the Devil.”
He then presented the phrase he wants every believer to live by, “The end times are not happening to me. I am happening to the end times!”
Mario issued an urgent warning that the baptism of the Holy Spirit must be part of the current youth revival or it will not survive.
Political awakening is not enough. It’s wonderful that Turning Point USA received over 150,000 requests for campus chapters, but none of it will matter if it doesn’t then turn from only the political, to the supernatural.
That was when the power of God fell in the Tent.
The first of the many miracles called out by Mario was that of a woman with diabetes and injuries from a car collision. She was healed in her eyes, feet, neck, fingers, heart, spine, as well as being healed in the areas of blood pressure, migraines, and arthritis.
A man who had had a heart attack twenty years ago was healed in his heart, lungs, back, and knees.
Another woman received healing in her heart, lungs, throat, and stomach. Something had been growing in her stomach and Mario said she would find it was gone. Her back, shoulders, arms, legs, hips, knees, and feet were all touched by God.
Next, Mario told the people, “These healings are not a game for me. They are life and death.” And then he had those who wanted healing to raise their hands, and asked others nearby to lay hands on them.
He then closed the night the way every true evangelist must. He asked for those who wanted a new life to raise their hands. And hands went up around the room. He had them stand up, but because of the configuration of the room they could only go into their respective aisles. They were unable to come down to the front like we normally do.
On a Christmas night in Santa Barbara, in a theater Mario had not stood in since 1969, souls were born into the Kingdom.
Mario closed the meeting by telling the people that Santa Barbara is ready to bust loose for Jesus!
He reminded them again, San Bernardino and Stockton are coming. The media center, the studio, is being built. And the baptism in the Holy Spirit is being positioned as an essential key to the youth revival.
The Magi had asked, “Where is the real?” In Santa Barbara, the answer was clear. The real is here. The real is moving. Jesus Christ is here and He is moving!
Mario said he is not going to retire until the Devil has quit!
The fire is spreading. 2026 is going to be an unprecedented year. And we truly would love for every one of you to be a part of it.

Hello, I have been watching Mario Murillo’sMinistry for the last several months, I truly believe that Jesus is using him in a might way. I live on Long Island and I am wondering if Mario Murillo Ministries ever come to NY or close to it?
I am wondering if I could request pray. First will you pray for my daughter Donna. She is having Nystigmas non stop and saw the neurologist today. We are waiting for results. They are scanning her for Mystemia Travis. A while ago, our youngest son drowned in a rip tide in Long Beach, LI. Our family has never been the same. My husband is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and I am a two time cancer survivor. Our oldest son is a workaholic and I believe it’s because he has not dealt with his brother’s passing. In addition, my very close friend was in a near fatal car crash. She suffered a Hangman’s fracture in which her head was falling off of her neck. She had two experimental surgeries and survived, However, she is permanently disabled. She is also struggling financially as she left her physically abusive husband. Also my beloved dog has Cushing’s an endocrine disorder and is not doing too well. Will you please pray for healing for all of us? We are Christian and believe that Jesus and do anything,. especially heal us.
We would so like to attend one of Mario’s revivals, but at this time we are not able to do so. Does Mario ever hold revivals near NY?

I connected with you 38 or so years ago when my wife and I were attending Cottonwood Christian Center in Los Alamitos, CA. I lost touch with you until recently and am so blessed to be reconnected. I watch every Fire Power episode with you and Todd Coconato, followed your tent crusades in Texas and plan on somehow helping your ministry in some capacity.
