The fire of God falls on Santa Barbara. It is July the eighth, 2025. On this date 57 years ago Mario Murillo Ministries was born. To be in the very city where this ministry was born on our 57th anniversary is supernatural.
That is why it is no surprise that this is the greatest demonstration of the fire of God that we have seen under the Tent.
As always Catherine Mullins and the worship team took us into the glory. But there was something in the air that told you something extraordinary was going to happen. And it did!
I said all that to set them up for everything that was burning in my heart.
Then I told the audience that I remembered when the Jesus Movement and then the Charismatic Movement struck Santa Barbara. And I reminded them that churches worked together in unity and excitement.
Furthermore, I remember how souls were being saved 24 hours a day. I said all that to set them up for everything that was burning in my heart.
From Sesame Street back to Azusa Street. That was the name of my sermon. I held nothing back because I knew this was the last night.
I also felt the weight of this message, knowing it was designed to start a movement in Santa Barbara. It all hinged on preaching the exact message in the exact way that the Holy Spirit wanted. So I dove in.
When you use the Baptism in the Holy Spirit to target emotional problems you get no souls, and neither do you recover emotionally.
I laid out the big reason that the Spirit-filled movement had lost momentum here – it was because preachers stopped preaching about the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
And even when the Holy Spirit was mentioned, He was largely represented as a kind of therapist. The chief emphasis was emotional recovery. This had a devastating effect on soul winning.
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is not given for emotional issues but for power to witness. Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
But when you receive the Spirit in order to win souls, you get both souls and recovery.
The ironic part is this: when you use the Baptism in the Holy Spirit to target emotional problems you get no souls, and neither do you recover emotionally.

Then I told them that the Holy Spirit was not a door prize or a parting gift.
Jesus said in John 16:7, “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.”
Jesus came, limited in physical form and could not be everywhere. The arrival of the Holy Spirit instantly transformed Christianity into a global force. The Holy Spirit added exponential power to the Church because He was omnipresent.
But there is more. The Holy Spirit gave us everything we would ever need to establish the Kingdom of God and fulfill the Great Commission.
Everything that the Church would ever need and want was available in Him.
John 16:12-15, “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.”
He is the administrator. He is also the strategist and the might of God. Everything that the Church would ever need and want was available in Him.
That is what makes it such a high crime for human programs to control the Church.
God fell on all of us. It looked like a hundred people were baptized into the Holy Spirit.
And it is embarrassing that we do not recognize why we are failing. He has everything we need to do a mighty work.
So, I ended with a burning question. Do you want to restore the Spirit-filled witness in Santa Barbara? Do you want to be a movement again?
Even before I prayed, I felt the fire of God in the room. Everyone could see that these people were hungry and willing to return to a true Pentecostal witness. And then it happened!

God fell on all of us. It looked like a hundred people were baptized into the Holy Spirit. The rest of the audience was consumed by fresh fire. The power kept rising and the fire got intense. We were literally enveloped by the Glory of God!
The crusade that had everything going against it became one of the most powerful and meaningful events we have witnessed. No wonder the devil fought it so hard!
On our 57th birthday—in the very city where we were born, we saw the birth of a movement. Stay tuned, this is going to get even more amazing!
I knew God would answer the prayers of the saints and show up BIG in Santa Barbara.

Mario, was this just some technical problem or did someone deliberately interfere? Perhaps you have to be careful legally how to respond, I get that if so, but it sure seems curious! Regardless, it sounds like God indeed showed up! And the more the devil himself interferes, the more that backfires and God is faithful to overcome all that opposition. Praise Jesus!

Holy Spirit cane to teach us the truth about Jesus Christ—that Jesus IS the Truth, that His Way is the only path to the Father and salvation, and that the Life in us is His Kingdom come, that the temple destroyed in 70AD is the last temple made by”human hands” and God’s temple is now in every heart that bows to King Jesus.

Dear Mario and team. I hope you got my message before your tent meeting. I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to look up who Saint Barbara was .She was the fire of God. Her father killed her. She was martyr. You testimony of fire was my confirmation.
I thought the final night was supposed to be today Wednesday. Can you confirm that you are doing a tent meeting tonight (7-9-2025)in Santa Barbara?
We were supposed to go until Wednesday night. The showgrounds needed our spot back by Thursday morning July 10th. Meeting this deadline would require our team to work through the night. We tried to work something out but could not. After 4 weeks of long grueling hours, I didn’t feel right asking our team to work through the night. I made the call to finish on Tuesday night.

Having followed Mario since 1975 when he came to Christ For the Nations Institute in Dallas, TX when I was 18 years old, and then catching up with him on youtube since 2017 and watching ALL the Courage Tour and Living Proof, etc, I find it difficult that youtube did not cover ANY of the Santa Barbara event where i live in NE WA State. I was there, what a night of The Glorious Manifestation of The Holy Spirit and His fresh Baptism of Fire to many of us who has received that Precious Gift when we first believed and to hundreds of believers that needed to be baptized with The Holy Spirit Fire for the first time. Mario, I, too, remember the Charismatic movement in the 70’s and early 80’s. You are so right! We began to hear about praying in the Holy Spirit for the healing of memories and the emphasis on soul winning was no longer focused on. Thank you for speaking truth as led by God!

What a wonderfully refreshing testimony of the mighty move of the Holy Spirit and the atomic power of God through the baptism of the Holy Ghost. The exhortations in this post were spot on indeed we are endured with power to be witnesses to the resurrection. I have had to just about abandon You Tube, because many of your previous Fire Power with Pastor Todd Cocconato have been confiscated and altered, so I now understand to go directly to the ministries’ websites that I partner with to get the messages. Have been catching up on all the blogs and videos I have missed in latter July (several hours’ worth) so I am going to rest tonight in the peace that passes all understanding. Shalom!!
