WEARINESS AND DIVISION ARE HOLDING BACK OUR NATIONAL AWAKENING.

by | May 14, 2025 | Mario Murillo Ministries, Revival in America | 74 comments

We have all the elements of an awakening—but not the awakening itself. Christian rallies flood universities. Beach baptisms hark back to the Jesus movement. Churches report sudden growth, and faith based movies outdo secular films.

As a result, news of spiritual breakthroughs pop up all the time. And just as quickly they fade. Everywhere, they light the fuse, but it never reaches the dynamite.

Don’t get me wrong! I am deeply grateful for any breakthrough. But let’s not fool ourselves. Many claims of revival don’t hold up when examined against historic revivals.

The fact is that past awakenings overflowed the walls of denominations, institutions, and culture. They changed laws and even transformed the atmosphere of cities.

Let’s face it. We should be in a revival—but we are not. Why not?

So, what is the deal?  It isn’t as if we aren’t praying. Prayer groups have been spreading for years. It’s not that we aren’t preaching repentance. Repentance continues to be a growing theme on social media.

On top of everything, our nation is ripe for revival. Wokeness has collapsed and left a huge void. A highly flammable void that is perfect for revival fire. Something just isn’t making sense.

Let’s face it. We should be in a revival—but we are not. Why not?

The answer is quite simple. The American church is weary and divided.  We are weary and drained. And we are too divided to build the kind of consensus (army) that could take the nation by storm.

So, what is behind this weariness and division? The answer is defeatism.

Here is how Webster defines defeatism: ‘an attitude of accepting, expecting, or being resigned to defeat.’

In the same way, Satan wearies and divides the American church.

In fact, defeatism is what the globalists use to divide and conquer nations. Wokeness achieves this by destroying hope through guilt and shame.

A divided and guilt ridden and morally paralyzed society is easier to govern. Shatter its traditions. Drown it in imported ideologies. And define its language. And turn its people against themselves.

And what do you get but a population too confused to resist and too fragmented to unite. The long game is Divide, Demoralize, and Replace.

In the same way, Satan wearies and divides the American church. A thousand voices on social media compete for our attention. They try to stir us. We are drained by predictions of disaster. We are disappointed by promises of great things that never happen. It is simple burnout.

Then there is division. For this the Devil has done a neat trick. He has divided the church into camps.

And by design, these camps are more tribal than anything else. The goal is not to get us to hate each other. It is simply to get us to have nothing to do with each other. And that is why it works…because it doesn’t look like division.

So, here are five popular Christian campsites:

The prosperity camp.

The prophetic camp.

The mega church camp.

The worship camp.

The heresy hunting camp.

Here’s the thing, each one of these camps contain truth. But that truth is neutralized because it does not join forces with the truth in other tribes.

Here is what Paul said about this: 1 Corinthians 12:20-22,

“But now indeed there are many members, yet one body. And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.”

As a matter of fact, that is what we are saying! “I have no need of you!” That delusion is pure defeatism. In revival, the church fires on all pistons. Every gift is needed, working side by side with all the others.

But how does defeatism work in these camps? They build a focus on a single truth to the exclusion of others.

The prosperity gospel expresses defeatism by using faith for things that make no difference in the war for America’s soul. Subconsciously they say we can’t win the moral war so let’s win the financial war.

Here is the warning from Paul:

“If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself” (1 Timothy 6:3-5, NKJV).

Mega churches display defeatism by diluting scripture and adding entertainment. They do this because they do not believe the Gospel and the Holy Spirit can win against the modern mind.

Look at another warning from Paul,

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry” (2 Timothy 4:3-5, NKJV).

Heresy hunting podcasters express defeatism by giving up on becoming  a ministry that rightly divides the word of truth. When you are an unknown preacher—and you want to be known—harping on juicy details is a cheap way to do it.

But why do you want to be the National Enquirer? Again there is a warning from scripture.

“My brethren, let not many of you become teachers, knowing that we shall receive a stricter judgment” (James 3:1, NKJV).

The prophetic tribe demonstrates defeatism when they diminish the Bible in favor of private words from God.

Peter wrote, 2 Peter 1:20-21, “knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

Worship culture can express defeatism when they believe singing is enough to change the world. They twist this verse to exalt endless worship, John 12:32, “And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all peoples to Myself.”

But that verse does not mean that if we exalt Jesus by endlessly singing repetitive choruses that it will win souls. The next verse explains:  John 12:33, “This He said, signifying by what death He would die.”

Until God breaks down these camps, great events, breakthroughs and stirrings will continue to rise up, teasing us with the idea of revival and then fading away.

But wait, there is a greater hope. Right now it is a cloud the size of a man’s hand. But it holds the promise of torrential rain. Millions are sick of business as usual. Their prayers are getting dangerous.

Who are these people? A remnant with an insatiable hunger for the real thing. We can break down these walls. You, as part of this remnant, can break down these walls!

this clearly describes what is going on in the body of Christ. The one camp that is so discouraging is the heresy hunter camp…those long faces on YouTube picking the fellow believers apart.

    • Tresa Bouren

Really? JESUS exposed the hypocrisy and the liars We are to be alert and awake to all evil and exploitation otherwise we are being deceived. Everyone who preaches heresy or perversion of the truth needs correction. Right now the exposure of the sexual abuse and deception is astronomical. Hiding sin is wrong. We are to walk in the LIGHT not hide it. Accountability

      • CV

Right on. Victims who were S.A.’d is not heresy. These are lives ruined by leadership they trusted. Criminal activity is not heresy. Lining up with the ones who protect or gloss over criminal activity will not age well.

    • Ron K McKinley

I agree with Patricia . The fault finding lets crucify them group is the most divisive group operating today ! This group is turning their warfare on ministries and ministers they find have committed some sin rather than putting the focus on the demonic forces behind the evil ! The Church is encouraged to restore a fellow believer through prayer and counseling not put them to an open shame on Facebook to show the world how much malice we have against each other ! How truly sad !

    • Joan Hoffmann

I fel I am born again. Is there a problem with my e mail

    • Allen Satra

You know there’s one thing that people seem to overlook the world has a lot of stuff to offer single people but I don’t see the church even doing anything for or with single people they’re just left out there in isolation until they just can’t take it anymore the wall screaming at them.

  2. Ron

Right on just wrote an article on this subject. The normal church service is pretty much dead. The pastor is worshipped at times more than Christ. Just not like the Jesus movement was not close! The people are not interested it’s mostly a thing to do.

    • Allen Satra

Well you know there’s one thing that’s really been stirring in my heart that seems to be overlooked in the churches Jesus said the true believer will worship the father in spirit and in truth. When I go to church all I hear is worship for Jesus and worship for the holy Spirit you never hear anything about the father and to me if it was that important for Jesus to say it I think we should be doing it just my two cents worth.

Amen & Amen Mario for being the voice of truth crying out for all those who have ears to hear & hearts on fire to receive & who will not shrink back but step out boldly in obedience to the Spirit of the Lord to prepare the way for the greatest harvest of souls!
It is so heart breaking to see the body not living or experiencing its full potential in this hour in Christ by lacking the maturity and unity as Paul had taught the early church!
Each tribe or camp will need to shake off their own agenda that has blinded them and left them in a slumber! They will need to be infused with God’s Holy Fire and be ignited to move on fast forward to be about the Father’s Kingdom business!
Lord Jesus redeem the time for all those who
    will be fearless to face
all opposition and forge forward by taking their place standing together in unity as the body of Christ to bring in the full harvest the Father had purposed and planned!

  4. Beverley Saward

Your clarity of Purpose and Hope Mario is what we find our next breath from May our God and Lord Jesus Christ stay with you through Holy Spirit as you minister to, guide, lead and love everyone you touch

  5. Phyllis Cope

Thank you. God’s promises will not fail. He must be put first.

  6. Eric Moon

Mario, it’s hell living in a hellish society. It’s hard finding “many body’s in one accord” we look good in the outside and seem like we are on the same page of righteousness when in reality on the inside (our hearts) are not.
We are hoping and waiting on God. Scripture also tells us to be still and know I am God.
I am witnessing destruction all around me EVERYDAY here in California. Wondering when that great and terrible day of the Lord will ever arrive. Yes, people are hungry for God, but, many too weary to feed them. I am in.my 70’s and alone. I left the false buildings a long long time ago!
Scripture tells us it’s better to be alone rather to be with a bunch of evildoers. Not sure how much longer I want to remain in this cesspool called earth! It sucks here! I. Fear for my life everyday. I drive for a living. Still have to work full time just to keep head above water. I liove Jesus but feel I’m failing. Not enough goodness here. It’s Babylon on drugs here.
Help me Lord! I am alone!

    • Anna Matzeder

      Dear Eric!
Check out Shekinah Worship Center in Lancaster CA on line (see titles of Joe’s recent videos and find your point of equipping need addressed), or GO in person if you can. I live in New England and am as old, as alone amoungst the body of Christ here (but yet shining the LIGHT to them)… and AS hard pressed as you,

BUT, I know I am longsuffering with JOY (Col. 1:9-11) as the LRD is preparing me (as He is also preparing YOU! and all the saints who are seeking with all our hearts to do His will in this world everyday). We are blessed and chosen to be alive in this moment, to be among the Bridal Company being made ready to shine His Light through to those caught in the darkness (2Thess 1:10-12)… Also, Check out “Global Sons Nancy Coen youtube.”

More is going on for GOOD than the adversary wants folks to know! Keep your eyes on the GOOD and LOVING -THIS is GOD in CHRIST, reconciling the world to Himself, NOT condemning it. Watch out for folks pointing to the darkness and focusing on criticizing what is wrong… (It is The Adversary of your soul that accuses the saints day and night).

Leave all that Judgement to GD and be about the business of the Great Harvest, Let this precious time not be wasted when we could be pointing to and revealing Christ in our lives every day by walking in LOVE, forgiveness and compassion for the lost. Their are great videos to teach you the basics of living in peace and ministering the healing power of GD to the lost all around.

I pray you find your calling -what GD wrote in YOUR book, before time was born, to do on earth in this moment. (Eph 4:1-3) with all my heart, Gd Bless you Eric,
and with prayers and love always,
      Anna <3+

    • Bruce Bonfils

God bless you brother! I’m 68 retired and not working but feel just like you. Come Lord Jesus! If Paul endured to the end we must too… stay the course, meditate on scripture over and over again! Pray without ceasing. Be salt and light and God Will empower you till the end of this world into The paradise of the world to come! Love like Jesus and serve others

    • Joy Faith

Eric Moon, You are NOT alone, even though you feel that way. Many of us over 70 years old are rooting for you to hang in there and Jesus will send Angels to lift you up.

Don’t give up. You are loved by other Christians and Good Christian leaders and most of all by God the Father, as Jesus said. Put your trust in HIM.

Be Blessed, you are in our prayers. Joy

  7. Samson Guerrero

Pretty! This has been a really wonderful post. Many thanks for providing these details.

  8. Anita Anderson

Thank you for this – so true and insightful.

  9. Karen Sorenson

Yes, we need a real awakening!!
God send revival fires to your church!!! Rend the heavens and the hearts of your people!! Amen

  10. Kaydence Hahn

Good post! We will be linking to this particularly great post on our site. Keep up the great writing

  11. Larry Lavallee

Father GOD we pray that the church will be in one Accord for this Revival 🙏 Holy Spirit lead us in the ways to bring Glory and Power and Honor to JESUS 🔥

  12. Leonard Carroll

NOTHING BUT NEGATIVE THINKING IS HOLDING BACK THE REVIVAL! Is this Mario Murillo and Todd Coconato from whom I am hearing this? Stand front on or back-to-back, and nothing can defeat you. Forget about the losers who want to please for money. People like Joel Osteen will never join you.
I have changed the name of my book to “God’s sure winner,” and that’s what you two are. Don’t depend on any slackers, and be like Martin Luther King Jr., or even Jesus Christ. Surely you can find twelve who will follow! Count Mechelle and Michelle in if men won’t stand up.

  13. Melvin Egli

Mario lists five reasons why we are not experiencing Revival, but leaves out what I believe is the most important reason. And that is the end time fiction of the rapture that the church has been preaching from our pulpits, in our books and in our movies for the past 100 years or so. The Church has been told that we lose, culture wins, and things are going to keep getting worse and worse until finally, Jesus returns and raptures the Church. So, we find the Church sitting in the bleachers waiting for the rapture… An accurate eschatological view is critical because it will determine how you live! The kingdom arrived in A.D. 70. We are not bound for the Promised Land, we have lived our entire lives in the Promised Land! And we have a mandate from our King to disciple the nations! The Gospel WILL prevail. The nations WILL be discipled! The whole earth WILL be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea! If this generation wants to sit this one out, God will raise up future generations who will do it. At the rate we are going it may take 40,000 years! Perhaps that is why the Bible speaks several times of God’s faithfulness to a thousand generations!

    • Constantine Michailidis

You are right, a proper eschatalogical view is important, but it sure ain’t the one you hold.

  14. Arly

    That’s the media’s message now, ” give-up, stop struggling,and die. Resistance is…”

We’re in a war with a defeated insurgency. We know from recent history how tough that fight can be.
2Co 10:4-7 KJV 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 7 Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.

  15. Patricia

Thank you for always saying the truth!👑✝️🛐

  16. Bette Bond

Prescious truths dear brother Mario Murillo. Time is so short. The King is coming. Every one is to do the work of an evangelist even if he/she is not an evangelist. The heart of God is on the lost. If a church pastor/leader is doing the work of an evangelist, he or she on every weekend would have a story about sharing their faith with the lost. Without a vision, the people perish. All of the church is to be about expanding the Gospel in every way possible. THANK YOU for being a beacon of light calling the church to its blessed task…telling others about Jesus, making disciples, and spreading the Kingdom of God (healing, deliverance, etc.).

  17. Linda Marie Clift

Morning. Jack Clift (who has been following Mario for a while now) and is coming to Tyler, introduced me to Mario’s ministry. I saw Mario for the first time at Perry Stones recent past submit in Cleveland. I’m extremely careful with who I listen or receive from and truly allow the Lord to give me a thumbs up and knowing in my spirit who he wants me to listen to. Over a long learning process I’ve come to appreciate and respect His knowledge over mine. His leading over mine. His thumbs up. He put in me to come to the summit and all the speakers were a witness and confirmation to what Jesus has been speaking and teaching me and that is such a powerful encouragement. To line up with the word and then spirit through confirmation for my walk is so vital. So thank you Mario for your faithfulness to the Holy Spirit. It’s not that we are better than anyone but there are areas of growth and maturity we can be in. The more years and faithfulness in Him leads (it did me) to be more hunger and yet few good places to eat, or filled. So to be called to come and just be refreshed and fed, was such a huge blessing and needed in His call in His work through me. Jesus said, now your walking with the “big dogs” (a term in cyber) but in that place it requires humility, humor, and a high level of dedication, warfare, and sacrifice. Jesus is our commander and chief for without Him I can truly do nothing. I’ve found in the visions, words, writings and songs He’s written and spoken to me, I am just “a hose that flows, the water is all coming from Him.” I love to simply sit with the “big dogs” because I understand the battlefield. The frontlines. There always is a connection and a quiet understanding among us because we don’t compete to whose gone through this over who has gone through that. We just are glad we fought the good fight, trusted Jesus totally and came through. And yes we get credit for the choices to stand, fight, all our sacrifices (he once told me that) so long as we remember who gets “ALL” the glory. Over time you don’t even have to think about that because it is truth and we do it without hesitation. I enjoyed Mario sense of humor that shows a comfort a realness and a maturity and relationship close to Jesus. Few can know just how full of fun Jesus is. I love laughing and He is the King of joy and laughter. Just when I think I’m funny, He always has one better.

  18. Grace Ramirez

I can’t wait to find out what holding the revival

  19. Charlotte M Stanford

    Amen and Amen!!!

  20. Al Schooler

Perfect words Brother Mario concerning defeatism that I am sorry to say is rampant today. Many stand and sing praises but their heart is far from Him. They have listened to words that itched their ears only, while not receiving the Word of truth. Being spiritual is one thing but walking totally with God is another thing altogether. A complete and total revival is sorely needed today bringing the church back to the days of Charles Finney, serve Him daily expecting His return.

  21. Helen Owen

    So true
I just want more of Jesus!
Nothing else matters to me .
    Big homes
    Fancy cars
    Yes I loved my Porsche
    But it means nothing !!
Souls are waiting to be saved!!
    Helen

  22. Chris White

O.K. Mario, looks like another book you should be writing…..NOW!! However, you never write “just another book” Thank God. Your writing blankets so many other “Christian books” and articles plaguing American Christians as being obsolete! The fire of truth will burn up works of hay, wood, stubble and straw. We appreciate your ministry of boldness, truth, revelation and inconvenience! Please never cease to sound the alarm and warnings! It is critical that we cut through the garbage of twisted church systems and discover a GOD encounter of historical and epic proportions. May God have mercy upon us and move among us in a way we’ve never known Him or witnessed from Him before…….

  23. Beverly

Thank you Mario for this great eye opening word. My heart grieves for the churches that are giving tip toe messages and club mentality concerts for worship. Keep doing what God has you doing because you are truly needed as such a time as this.

  24. Tony Perone

“Not by power or by might but by my Spirit says the LORD” is the prayer that all the “camps” (call them denominations, Catholics, Protestants, dispensationalists, etc.) must pray to unite the church by the Holy Spirit. God is willing to move with those in Christ to revive and renew, change and transform the hearts in America and the world.
Let us pray, Mario, that the “tribes” unite against the principalities, the wicked powers of “woke,” the “global” spirits of evil, the depravity of the “demoncrats” in America’s government, and bend our humble knees to King Jesus for the glory of our Father God.

  25. Jacque B.

Thank you Mario. Everything you said is so true. Just this week my son was saying the same thing about how Christians in different groups do not work together for the Kingdom of God. I am 81, but I can still pray that the walls will be broken down.

  26. Ron Rupp

Hubs, hot spots, as Paul would go and raise up, after impartation of the Gospel in discipleship, raising a elder to oversee, and as Paul David Cho would do, send them out to do the same….the mega was in YESHUA, the stature and measure, knit together in love AND UNITY…Acts 2

    • Christy Lozano

Great analysis Mario. “Hope deferred makes the heart sick.” We must un-partner with this victim mindset (and spirit) because we walk in dominion and we are overcomers.

People need help getting to this place, the church is not teaching about this or how to do it, and there is a remnant that knows how. Seek them out.

I had some amazing men and women of God that walked with me, in Spirit and in truth, and taught me how to overcome through prayer, forgiveness, understanding, and developing my character.

It comes down to finding our identity, feeling loved and valued of the Lord, and being willing to walk the narrow path and do the hard things necessary to grow in faith.

God is right there by our side and He leads the way if we genuinely want to find our freedom.

    • Janice Chaquica

It’s always been the remnant. And the hunger of this romantic will start the true fire of revival..That will out last azusa street.

    • phil beatty

      AMEN!!!!

  27. Jacque B.

I wrote a comment but it did not post.. I pray the Lord will break down the walls between God’s children.

  28. Joanne Villegas

Yes Mario, I concur with your evaluation of the current condition of the Church. I know as you do that as we stand on His word and continue to do good. and walk in faith, keeping the hope of God as our anchor He will bring His Church into unity and pour out His Spirit and Glory in a mighty wave that can not be thwarted. I hold onto my hope in Jesus uniting His Bride and knowing His Will shall be done. Until then I, with His strength and grace will continue to stand in good times and bad. God bless you always. In His time all shall be manifested! Praise the name of the Lord our God forever!

    • Pieter Harmse

Dear Mario, thankyou for this powerful, informative message. My prayer is that people take note of this message and that all seek God diligently for a holy and perfect will of God in our lives. Thankyou again Mario

  29. No Name

As usual, you are spot on. No mincing words, and you have the discernment, courage and no “pedestal nor spiritual nepotism” to say it, like it really is.
You are speaking for those of us, who can see, can feel, and know it, but have no power, courage, nor platform and are unable to say it to those who seem “purposely and proudly blind” . Thank you for speaking up for us, Brother Mario. Aka Uncle Mario.

  30. Greer Trice

    Amen.

I thank God there are men standing up and speaking boldly in this day.

    Regards,

    Greer.

Praying every wicked scheme of the enemy to wear down the saints backfires on the evil one.
Rejoicing that, just as at the cross, God is using whatever the devil meant for evil to cause His own purpose, His plans to accelerate into His creation.
In the mighty Name & the Precious Blood of Christ Jesus!

    • TJ Owen

      Yes. And AMEN 🙏 🙌 👏

  31. Jeffrey Wiegand

America is too young to die

  32. Dale E Stevens

Yes, Mario as usual you are very good at summarizing the present situation regarding the church. But a true revival and awakening will come.Jesus said I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Circumstances and situations have not reached critical mass (Psalm 107) on a national level that people will desperately cry out to God. It is coming very soon.
I thank God for your continual “watching on the wall”. I along with many are excited to be apart of what God is doing and is going to do 🙏😁

  33. Don

May be God’s way of dividing the remnant from the professing church. How many people really count the cost before committing to Christ? Years ago people were encouraged to ponder what they would endure for their belief, up to and including martyrdom before they made the decision for Jesus. Like what is going on all across the globe right now in mohammedan and hindu lands. Cheap grace has infested the church and what is the point of committing to that? Might as well believe any “ism” out there as a watered down Americanized view of belief.

  34. Grady Weiszbrod

Responding to the “worship camp”, – the law of first mention is important in interpreting scripture. In Genesis 2:5 we read “And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.” Notice there is nothing about music, theatre lighting or fog machines. It’s simply an old man with a sharp knife and a young man with an arm load of sticks who are on a journey of OBEDIENCE to God. (Instant obedience – Abraham rose early and started obeying God’s directive.) We also see signs of the resurrection foreshadowed in the last phrase “and WE will come back to you.”
Simply stated, worship is obedience to God.

  35. Tony

Brother Mario, I am in The JESUS Camp…. that’s enough for me! HALLELUJAH!!!

  36. mark Benassi

What is happening today keeps making me think of the Exodus. With the election of Donald Trump, we crossed the Red Sea, but it was easier to take the Jews out of slavery than to take slavery out of the Jews. Twelve spies went out but only 2 had a positive report. The underlying culture has to change and that is a far greater challenge than winning an election or holding a series of revival meetings. It is this fundamental change that has to take place. Believers have to stop thinking like slaves.

  37. Linda Esquibel

Yes, Mario, you are so right. The enemy is throwing out more and more “distractions” and blinding the eyes of the pastors and even those in prayer ministries. I am seeing it happen in the elite groups, as the scriptures say. I have had to back out of prayer groups for this reason, because the focus was not Biblical. I always think it’s me who is “making this up” or seeing wrongly, not discerning correctly. I always blame myself and repent, but God vindicates me to myself by showing me the truth through another’s eyes or scriptures or to me directly through His voice. There is even warfare in global prayer meetings. I stand on God’s word. The enemy is attempting to divide, he is dividing, the Body of Christ. Why can we not see it? Fear is overtaking people, and they say things they should not say. Even in my family, I am under attack with vile accusations and language. It has become a nightmare, but we must stand true to God. His word is life and truth. Focus on Him alone. Life and death is in the power of the tongue, and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Proverbs 18:21. Standing with you, Mario. To God be the glory. Amen!

  38. Sandra Carper

We pray, we stand with each other, Intercessors unite. We need to stand together, division harms. We need Holy Spirit leading, bringing us together in love, strength, compassion, in a move of destroying our enemy. We need instruction of Holy Spirit in way we can defeat the enemy, so we will see the hand of God move. We need churches stand together for our cities, schools, government. We need to be bold and in love and depend on God to move. Please pray.

  39. Yvette

We need to be Kingdom minded. This isn’t about our camp but about the Body of Christ coming together to establish God’s Kingdom on earth. Jesus prayed yo the Father that we would be one in Him so that the world would believe that He was sent from the Father. Our division makes the power of His testimony weak.
We are also too distracted by things of this world. It’s time to put God first in all we do. Revival is within grasp but we have to be willing to forsake the love of the world.

  40. Beverly Weatherly

This is so true. I was part of a church for 20 yr that the pastor is charged with child abuse. In looking for a different church I notice all the preaching sounds like a motivational speech. We are definitely divided.

Thank you for speaking truth. People hunger and thirst for it. Things of importance that once was to people has changed…. There is an urgency for truth. As a child of God we are needing direction and discernment from the only one who can give it …God himself. Joshua 9 says “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” We must listen and not turn to the right or left other than to God. Mario keep going. The devil is mad but more scared and trying to confuse but God sees it all and is not the author of confusion but He is the start and finisher and we will finish with him if we don’t give up and the devil knows it. Keep going people keep going.

    Brother Mario,

You forgot the largest camp. In fact, I would say that it is 75% to 80% of all Churches in America are Cessationist Churches. Your correct with the small group of spirit filled Christians they do fall in what you say. Christians need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, and revival will break out when this happens.

I so agree. When the peasants (I’m one) speak up, we’re called tr0!!s, a Nordic second heaven entity. (We know what that means.) That’s something that has horrified me. But then I was kicked out of a prayer group for refusing to stand in agreement with s, so I should be used to it. Then there’s, “It’s ….’s ministry.” [implication: They are not subject to criticism.] It’s not their ministry; they’re called, they’re anointed, but the ministry belongs to the Head.

However, God is sovereign. He intends to have His way and it WILL happen. I personally just don’t know how. You, Mario Murillo seem to be part of it, and I thank you for your courageous post. Meanwhile, I’ll just keep trying to learn how I should be praying. (Some think I don’t pray right.) I know for sure I want to be in agreement with our Heavenly Father, and not anything in the second heaven.

Defeatism flourishes because “the pen is mightier than the sword”. It has been that way through centuries, and now it’s easier (internet) to reach the masses and hide behind your true identity. So sad that so many “Christians” have fallen into the trap.

James 5:7. Seeds are being planted… the latter rain is coming. This stirring is the smell of coming rain… the wind us picking up!

    Thanks Mario,
We have the same slavish mentality the Hebrews in Egypt had as they were lead out into the wilderness.
Our insecurity stems from never having known a revival that leads to reformation. We are even taught that the spirit does not work that way any longer.
How many will remain faithful if we must face the giants? Will it be the two or the ten? Numbers 13:28-33 are we grass-hoppers or sons of the living God?

John 4.35 the fields are white where are the workers. We need more dedicated people to do the work of an Evangelist. Who is willing to pray and pay the price for souls. As God’s servant has said: Let us unite in prayer and in accepting the commission of the Lord Jesus Christ.

What we’ve seen so far is definitely far below what God’s Plan calls for. I am not satisfied, not even a little. And I believe this supreme dissatisfaction in me is proof that He is expecting more from us than we have yet manifested. I must have ALL God has for His Church. I must have it NOW.

  48. Suzanne

Amen. Jesus prayed that we would be one. We need true unity with the Father, Son and Spirit in these days.

There is a remnant waiting who will never let go. It’s marked on God’s calendar; God’s renewal. God’s glory.

Yes the RAIN is coming! It’s all hands on deck to walk as the full body of Christ. All are needed to make disciples of all nations. We all have a part in the Harvest.

    Thank you Pastor Mario Murillo.

Mario, I do appreciate you and Todd and all ‘remnant warriors’. I think identify with you guys probably the most. But, then, it’s almost like another camp in a way.

Definitely, we should be making our efforts to bridge the divide AND pray to that end! But, I honestly don’t think it will happen fully until God steps in. That’s Kim Clement’s Esther prophecy. …

At a time in middle of the restoration of America .. after pain and mourning has come, an Esther will rise up and say ‘no more division!’. Is this person or the Bride speaking to the Nation. Could be both.
And purpose for this healing of this Nation? So, that His Gospel can go forth to all the Nations. He picked us to be beacon of light.. all 50 states.
There is seminal moment coming for this country to bring her to her knees. I believe and I stand for it to that end.

Thank you Mario, spot on. Recently heard a sermon from a man who has been in ministry for many years here in Australia. Some of his comments about the church down under.

    “Personal Agendas

    Polluted Motives

    Perverted Mission.”

” We are really good at celebration, not so good at consecration.”

He also said “Most of my friends in full time ministry (even though we all are) after the Covid years did not want to go back to the way it was before.” Yet we seem to pick up the way it was before and continue on.
How can we move on corporately and individually if the present is not addressed forcefully in truth and love.

A problem seems to me to be church structure. Yes, leadership is necessary. That structure, however can get in the way of Holy Spirit moving as He wishes at particulate times. We have made “giftings” into “titles” with a resultant hierarchy that makes it difficult for God to move. Pastoring is a gift, not a title. Apostleship is a gift, not a title. Ideally a church should be led by “teaching elders”.
And the only titles I can see in the church are deacons (table servers) and elders (older, proven leaders). When Holy Spirit wants to move through, say prophecy, the teachers need to be willing to step aside. This is how all the parts are used in the body. Young people today want to experience Truth…not a church system. And this can only be done if the Body acts with Holy Spirit encouraged spontaneity. New wind is still being served up in old wine skins.

  55. Richard Best

It would seem like the church is its own worst enemy!

There was a great analogy for dry bones as the church. I am paraphrasing. you breath and have a heart beat, but are not living. Then your sick, then dead, then bound, then the stone that was rolled away to ensure you had the option to live, has now been placed over your tomb. Once this happens you have a dry church, because of the dry bones attending. This is not your congregations fault. You are preaching a dry Gospel. I believe the church is lacking leaders that just want intimacy with God. They have not been called by the anointing. They are filling someone else’s calling. And you will know this by their praise. It is impossible to praise God for his goodness when you are bound. sickness has no place in the living. Death has no place for the living. God has called you out stinky and bound. hop your way forward. Be the called because of the anointing.
